Sold Out Dance + New Lights = Over The Top Night At The Welch Allyn Lodge In Skaneateles, NY
On February 5th, 2011, Wanna Jam DJ Productions provided the entertainment for the Skaneateles High School Snow Ball at the Lodge at Welch Allyn. We started planning back in December for a dance that was to be elegant but also high-energy fun. For a classy style of lighting we brought out our Dancing Under the Stars Laser package to create the imitation of a starry night sky on the ceiling as well as 6 uplights around the room set to purple. We kept these lights on through dinner while a jazz quartet played in the background.
Once the students finished dinner the party began. We rocked the dance floor with our JBL sound system and our intelligent light show. Also, the acoustics of the room were unbelievably good for such a large venue. While the dance floor was packed all night, a few songs took the energy to a new level. These songs included: Dirty Bit, Angel, and Firework. We also played some throw back hits that everyone sang along to like Let Me Clear My Throat, Don’t Stop Believing, and Living on a Prayer. As a way to keep the energy high the student council held a dance off contest and a series of raffles. One of our favorite parts about the night was that we were able show off our two new 60 watt LED moving heads. These new lights are the latest in entertainment lighting. Wanna Jam DJ Productions is proud to be one of the first Disc Jockey companies in Syracuse, NY to offer these high power light fixtures at our events. We are also excited because they are considered green due to their lower energy consumption. At the end of the dance we got quite a few compliments about the light show and music from the Skaneateles students. It was a pleasure working with the Skaneateles High School Administration, teachers, and students to create a night they will always remember. We look forward to working with them again!
