Neon Paint and Over 1000 Watts of Blacklights
Planning for the 2011 Jamesville-Dewitt Junior Prom began well over a year before the big night. Mrs. Boettger and the Junior class officers wanted a prom that would top any dance JD has ever experienced. It took months of meetings and preparation but on May 14th, 2011 we did the most intense setup we have ever done. JD picked a blacklight rave style theme for their prom. This involved over a 1000 watts of blacklights, neon paint, and cases of glow sticks. The officers did an amazing job painting black banners with crazy glow in the dark designs to cover the bleachers of the gym. We brought in our jaw dropping light show with moving heads and LED wash lighting and the gym was unrecognizable. The juniors at Jamesville Dewitt High School really knew how to party. The dance floor was packed from beginning to end with students fist pumping, jumping, and dancing to the hottest music mixed by DJ Wanna Jam (James) and DJ Zak Attack.
